Our First event - was a complete sell out - and what incredible evening it was.
Special Thanks to our amazing actors Sarah Brooks and Louis Paterson.
More than two dozen packed the cosy space of the haunted parlour at the London Restaurant for the launch of Andrew Segal’s thriller, The Hamilton Conspiracy on Monday evening. The action, based in Hamilton Bermuda, London, Paris, New York and Mauritius, involved Andrew learning how to set up a sham $200 million company, use a semi-automatic pistol, deal with kidnap and ransom and blow up a yacht. Advice from an ex SAS man, practice in an armoury and input from a businessman on shady deals, all contributed towards the theme of the book. Acting out the part of main character, multi-millionaire, Jack Gregory, (at risk of losing his fortune to US corporate bandits), players Louis Patterson and Sarah Brooks brought passages of the book to life with a bravura reading which covered a creditors’ meeting of Jack’s company, which went horrifically wrong, an attempt to steal vital information from a giant US insurance company under the noses of armed security guards and a planned bid to secret a bomb on a luxury yacht. Glasses of wine and lots of chat at half time all served to make the evening a resounding success. Many thanks to Clare Newton of publishers Happy London Press, for organising a truly superb event.
